Simulation and Sustainability Assessment Of H2S Utilization from Acid Gas on Haldor Topse Wet Gas Sulfuric Acid and Claus

چکیده
Claus process is a widely adopted to reduce emissions from refineries by converting H2S into elemental sulfur. On the other hand, Haldor Topsoe’s Wet Gas Sulfuric Acid (WSA) an alternative convert directly sulfuric acid. The purpose of this project was simulate both these state-of-the-art technologies and evaluate their suitability for various acid gas capacity concentrations. Three sustainability pillars people (safety), planet (environment), profit were used as comparison metrics. developed simulation (1st principle) models generate lots data basis subsequent development regression models. latter in comparisons they are much faster calculations than 1st principle results showed that WSA safer (lower Fire Explosion Damage Index), more environmentally friendly Global Warming Potential), profitable (higher annual profit) most evaluated operating conditions.
